Sutro Baths Slide Show and History Talk
Crissy Field Center, San Francisco

Join us for a special evening with author and park historian John Martini, as he tells the story of Sutro Baths, one of San Francisco's lost landmarks, with never before seen pictures and expert research. Built by Comstock millionaire Adolph Sutro as the world's largest indoor swimming complex, Sutro Baths dazzled visitors with its Victorian opulence when it opened in 1894. Although it burned in 1966, the site still attracts visitors to Lands End who come explore its concrete ruins and mysterious tunnels. John will be signing copies of his newly published book Sutro's Glass Palace, The Story of the Sutro Baths before and after the talk.
