Volunteer Event: Hands On Tam Winter Workday at Bald Hill, 2016

Join MMWD and Marin County parks for Hands On Tam - Bald Hill Broom Bust! Volunteers will focus on containing the spread of invasive French and Scotch broom. Removing broom gives native plants and trees a better opportunity to thrive, improves habitat for animals, reduces the fire fuel load and improves views.

Schedule
8:30 am — Meet at Phoenix Lake dam for an optional guided hike to the worksite
9 am — Volunteer registration and Welcome at Bald Hill worksite  
9:15 am-noon — Break up into teams and begin work
Noon-1 pm — Thank you and hot chili lunch celebration at Bald Hill worksite 

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, adult chaperones requested for young volunteers. Note: This project requires a mile hike uphill to the project site. Parking is limited; carpooling and biking encouraged.
