Log Cabin Open House - Hosted By MMWD and One Tam
Log Cabin

Join the Marin Municipal Water District (District) and One Tam partners for a tour of the historic Log Cabin at Phoenix Lake and a discussion about the rehabilitation of this imporant site!

Built from local redwoods in the late 1800s, the Log Cabin may be the only log house structure of its kind remaining in Marin County. Originally the home of the caretaker for th Porteous family ranch that once occupied these lands, the building has most recently served as a gathering and meeting place. Today, it is no longer in use and suffers from severe decay and insect damage.

The District has undertaken a design and feasibility study to look at a range of option for how the Log Cabin and its surrounding property could be rehabilitated in a way that honors its historic character and celebrates its past. Please join us on February, 27th from 10am to 12pm at the Phoenix Lake Lob Cabin to learn more about these options and share your thoughts on the future of this watershed landmark.
