Dunes are more than sand! Dune ecosystems come in a variety of forms and support a diverse array of habitats, and the Presidio contains some of the finest examples of remnant and restored dune communities along the central coast of California. Michael Chasse (National Park Service, Natural Resource Management Specialist) will present a broad overview of California dune ecology before heading out to the field for a tour of the Presidio's dune sites!
