Roy's Redwoods Field Day

Bring the whole family for a field day at Roy’s Redwoods Open Space Preserve on Saturday, May 12th. Learn from hydrology experts about the uniqueness of the upper reaches of Larsen Creek and some ideas for potential restoration of the creek. We are also pleased that Mia Monroe from the National Park Service and longtime caretaker of Muir Woods will lead a conversation about redwood forest ecology and old growth trees. Meet the One Tam team that is exploring opportunities to improve the visitor experience and ecological health of the Preserve and tell them what you love about Roy’s.

Mtg Location: We’ll be gathering at the redwood tree fairy ring at the end of the Meadow Trail and at 2 p.m. our speakers will lead a hike through the redwood grove.

The Meadow Trail starts at the Roy’s Redwoods trailhead on Nicasio Valley Rd. (approximately 0.5 mile from Sir Francis Drake Blvd.).
