Basic Flight Identification Series Part 1 (Wednesday Session)
Golden Gate Raptor Observatory Headquarters

The Golden Gate Raptor Observatory (located in the Marin Headlands) has kindly set aside some seats for Park Academy, so that those who are interested can come to their Hawkwatcher training!

This two-part training will run Wednesday and Thursday for two weeks, starting on July 25th and going through August 2nd. Participants can choose which day of the week works better for them each week to attend the full series. We want to keep this limited number of spots for those who can attend both parts of the training. Below are the links to the options for Part 2 (choose one):

Registration for Part 2 on Wednesday, August 1st >>

Registration for Part 2 on Thursday, August 2nd >>

The series sessions will be held at GGRO Headquarters in the Headlands and will be taught by Step Wilson (Hawkwatch Manager). Please bring binoculars if you have them, something to write with, and something to write on to be able to take notes on handouts (clipboard, book, portfolio, etc.).

Please note: Park Academy classes are meant as a special perk for volunteers, members, and employees. If you do not work for the Golden Gate National Parks, are not a member, or have not volunteered with us in the past year, a donation is encouraged. Volunteer or become a member today!
