Alcatraz Historic Garden Tour: Drought Tolerant Fall Blooming Plants
Pier 33 (to start, then taking ferry to Alcatraz Island)

Is your garden looking sad this time of year? Join Shelagh Fritz, Program Manager of the Alcatraz Gardens, for a garden tour to discover drought tolerant plants that still look good in the fall. Bring your notebooks and gather ideas for your own garden!

This tour will be followed by a garden design class on September 13th hosted by Rebecca Blanck-Weiss of the Presidio Nursery.

Attendees of the tour will take the 8:20 am (free) staff boat to Alcatraz where the tour will start. The tour will be about two hours and visit all the historic garden locations of the island-- including areas that are usually closed-off to island visitors.
