Alcatraz Historic Garden Tour: Drought Tolerant Fall Blooming Plants
|
Is your garden looking sad this time of year? Join Shelagh Fritz, Program Manager of the Alcatraz Gardens, for a garden tour to discover drought tolerant plants that still look good in the fall. Bring your notebooks and gather ideas for your own garden! This tour will be followed by a garden design class on September 13th hosted by Rebecca Blanck-Weiss of the Presidio Nursery. Attendees of the tour will take the 8:20 am (free) staff boat to Alcatraz where the tour will start. The tour will be about two hours and visit all the historic garden locations of the island-- including areas that are usually closed-off to island visitors.
