Holi in the Parks
Lands End Trailhead, Merrie Way

Celebrate South Asian cultures, traditions and festivals in the company of nature at these special, family-friendly volunteer programs organized and hosted by park staff from within the community. Build a new connection with your local national park, enjoy an afternoon of habitat restoration, and fun festivities, and treat yourselves to some delicious traditional and authentic Indian food!

This will be a series of programs and a unique opportunity to learn about our diverse communities within the Bay Area, get hands-on learning experience from trained staff, and to hear some fascinating natural and cultural history of the park. You don’t need any prior experience to help with habitat restoration. Just bring your enthusiasm, and we'll provide the rest.

For our program on March 23rd we will be celebrating Holi, also known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love”. This festival is celebrated in the Indian subcontinent and marks the beginning of spring. We invite you to join us and enjoy the beginning of the wildflower blooms at Lands End on this festive day!
