Guided Hike to Honor the 75th Anniversary of the US Navy PBM-5 Mariner Crash on Mt. Tam

Date:
Saturday, December 14, 2019
Time:
9:30 AM - 12:30 AM

Join MMWD Ranger, Matt Cerkel, for a historical hike to the PBM-5 Mariner Crash site on Mt. Tam. Learn about the accident, the men who lost their lives, and MMWD’s history of preserving and protecting the Mt. Tam watershed for over 100 years. We will hike the Gravity Car Grade and Vic Haun Trail to the crash site (about two miles each way). This hike is moderately difficult with one steep section on the Vic Haun Trail.

Meet in front of the Throckmorton Ridge Fire Station, just above the Mountain Home Inn (Google map)

Please wear sturdy shoes with good tread, dress for changing conditions and bring water and a bag lunch. Registration required. If registration is full and you would like to be added to the wait list, or for questions, please contact Monica Stafford, mstafford@onetam.org

We're sorry, the deadline for registering for this event has passed.
