Help us all welcome two new park stewardship interns to our San Francisco sites. Coming to you from across the country, these two interns are excited to get to know the volunteers, plants, and weather that make up our San Francisco park community.

Welcome, Vincent!
Ecological Restoration and Volunteer Management Intern
Hello West Coast World and beyond! My name is Vincent Nicolosi, I hail from the East Coast, from a small town just North of New York City. For the last two years I worked as a Gardener at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York, and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, in Boston, Massachusetts.
I come to the Bay Area in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism from SFSU and to work with National Parks! When I’m not camping or hiking, I enjoy making fresh pasta and spending an inordinate amount of time theorizing about Game of Thrones. I am excited to begin this new chapter of my life, to meet new people, plants and wildlife and experience the West Coast. Hope to see you in the field!
Meet Aurora!
Ecological Restoration and Volunteer Management Intern
My name is Aurora Perez. For the last four years, I have called Davis, California home. I recently graduated from UC Davis, with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry.
I love being outdoors, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and going to zoos. I’ve been to 14 different zoos throughout California and neighboring states. When I was younger, I wanted to have my very own zoo at home. While my mom was away on vacation one year, I managed to take in 6 cats from the streets and a bunny from a friend. For a brief moment, I had my zoo: 6 cats, 1 bunny, 4 birds and a large aquarium with turtles and fish. It was the best!
I am super excited for this upcoming year and working with The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in ecological restoration and working with volunteer programs. I am also very happy to have the opportunity to call San Francisco my new home.
